August was a HOT month, a VERY HOT month. So we spent a lot of time inside, heading out in the early morning to play.
One weekend we randomly decided to take the kids on a boat ride across the sound to Long Island.
The week before Valentine’s Day was a hard one. A VERY hard one.
I am woefully behind in this baby book, but about a month ago we took a family vacation. 10 of us rented a house in Rhode Island, and except for a melt down (me) because of 2 sick kids (Spencer and Sidney), a fabulous time was had by all.
The morning of day 2, I woke up disgustingly early, way before anyone else woke up. I hung out and read for a few hours, until I heard HI, HI, Hi coming from the other room. This was the babies first night on air mattresses, so I was really curious how they would wake up.
This morning we had an impromptu family meeting (Emily does roll call and then we discuss new business) and decided to do something fun and new… But we had no ideas. We threw out a bunch of ideas and settled on a visit to the city. The very idea terrifies me. 3 kids to keep track of, massive crowds, chaos. But we did it. And we did it well!
