July was not a hugely photographed month. We laid low most of the month, playing outside, playing inside. It felt like we were always busy but it also somehow felt like we had time to do nothing. Emily saw her first real live nighttime fireworks, we spend more time grilling than ever, and we did a ton of crafts, as always…
We did a lot in June! I don’t think I realized how much until I sat down to document it.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted two things in terms of land/gardening/etc. Chickens and Roses. This weekend was the weekend of dreams coming true.
In the depth of winter I always start day dreaming about colors, grass, leaves and flowers. This year was the first spring/summer in the new house and I spent a lot of time learning the new gardens. Some of these I am still trying to identify, but here are the blooms we loved from last spring/summer and cannot wait to see, hopefully soon!
Peach (and apple) picking is always a favorite in our house. Following the success of last year’s peach picking adventure, we definitely wanted to go again this year. This year the crop was not quite as good, and the pictures were not quite as good (I had weird lighting/shadow issues), but it was still a ton of fun!
As I get back into updating the kids baby book, it is time to catch up on pictures…
In keeping with my desire to get to know our new town, last weekend we visited Warrups Farm to check out the animals and pumpkins. We really enjoyed this farm. It is different from our favorite farm, but it is not meant to be the same. We had a great time exploring the pumpkins, the animals, the hay ride and the gardens. We missed the hay maze, but that is ok, just a reason to go back.
