Mine mine mine!

Remember the seagulls in Finding Nemo?  The ones who would call out Mine Mine Mine nonstop every time we saw them?  We have now entered that stage of toddlerhood.

This boy

This boy loves his mama!

One morning I was holding Spencer when we heard Emily wake up. Still holding him, I went into Emily’s room and sat on the edge of her bed. She and I were talking a bit and I started to stroke her hair.   Spencer threw his arms around both of mine, and held on super tight. And said, emphatically, MINE!

Since then we have run into a few occasions in which one child wants me and he refuses to share.  While it is not fair to his sisters, I feel like it bodes well for all future girlfriends.   And I would be lying if I said that I don’t love this just a little bit.  Who would not want this gorgeous boy to throw his arms around them and call out MINE?
